This Mr. was a recognized leader in modular origami. Issei Yoshino was born in 1964 in the city of Kawaguchi, near Tokyo. He wanted to be an aerospace engineer. The undoubted merit of Yoshino is that he was one of the first Japanese origamists who used computer graphics to build models. The complexity and sophistication of his work simply amaze everyone who saw them. One of the favorite themes of the master’s work is skeletons of prehistoric animals, made in the technique of heteromodular origami.
Unfortunately, the sudden death in 1996 interrupted Mr. Yoshino’s career, but, despite his short life, he managed to make a great contribution to the development of origami.
